Apologise for lack of updates, we are still stuck at homes, hopefully will be back in office soon.
BTW, any advice how to change this new Head-Fi look?
Just got an M0 and it looks good so far. Couple of slight problems though.
- I have tried two pairs of wired earbuds and none of the volume/stop/start controls seem to work. That doesn't seem right. I think the wireless ones I tried did work but had a bit of "dropout". Wired controls should work?
- I also tried downloading firmware 3.2 (came with 3.1) and it gives a "firmware check error" type message when trying to update.
Any ideas?
1. Unfortunately there is no support for in-line controls, our players lack hardware needed for this.
2. Make sure file is unzipped and in correct place(main folder of SD card)
From the latest 3.2 firmware:
I think this resulted in a bug on my unit where when I turn it off it goes to the blue battery loading animation immediately after the goodbie screen! I need to keep holding the shut off button for another 10 seconds until the unit finally turns off. If unnoticed, this leads to silently draining the battery while you think the player is off.
Will check this when we are back in office.
You sir are a life saver !
The interface langage is in French so, in case someone is wondering, the option is labelled "Mode Vo" , Vo standing for Voiture (car) but not enough room for the whole word I guess.
Anyway, this option was on, switched by mistake obviously. Once off, not a single interruption anymore. Fantastic !
Cheers mate !
nb : I'm still wondering what is the goal of such function but anyway, just glad we can use the player again.
It's our first attempt for in car mode, this automatic power off is something we need to adjust.
Thanks! This firmware indeed shows diacritics as they are meant!
1)
What about adding cross-feed? I prefer that over equalisation as it adds space to the music. The large numbers of equalisers suggests that some processor capacity is available for audio processing and crossfeed does not take that much capacity.

I updated from FW2.3 and am not thrilled by the new themes I have to choose from. The player itself is very stylish and, O.K., taste is a personal thing, but the colors in these menus are horrible, for me completely out-of-touch with the exterior. I couldn't find the theme I used before. Would it be possible to have a theme in black with grey tones?
Cheers,
Anton.
Number 1, this is connected with our continuous search for better EQ/DSP system. When/If we find some we like, it might offer such function.
Number 2, I heard similar feedback from multiple people, I proposed to add at least basic B&W theme in future update.
I just picked this up so that I can play music through my new Sony WH-1000XM3 on a better bluetooth codec than my iphone. (I also don't want to carry my iphone to the gym).
Quick question/problem though - I set the bluetooth codec to LDAC-HD and while it sounded great, it was only on for a few minutes until it started to crackle and fade out. I switched to LDAC, and it seemed to do the same thing after a while. Switching to AAC or APTx made the problem go away, but I had thought I needed the LDAC-HD to get the best sound quality, especially from my hi-res 24bit files.
Is there something I should know? Also, I'm on a mac, so all my music is in apple lossless codec. Should I covert it to flac instead - would that help? Or do I maybe just have a bad device?
LDAC HQ is the most tricky codec for quality of connection, more sensitive to position of devices and surroundings. I can only advice to be sure to keep screen of M0 facing away from your body(since there is antenna) and if needed, try the lower settings of LDAC.
Can someone confirm this is expected behaviour?
If playing a large file for the first time (2 hours long), its not possible to use the slider function to fast forward to any point.
Once the file has played end to end it works. Like the file is being indexed in some way.
Cheers
Will try to test this when back in office.
