Shanling M0 - Smallest Hi-Res Portable Player - New Firmware V3.6

Unfortunately we have no Sony receiver, please try it out and report. If it doesn't work, will try to look into it.

My unit won't ship until July 9th at the earliest, will be awhile before I can try it.

EQ is disabled on Hi-res files( above 48 kHz).

According to my knowledge, offline Tidal on any DAP without android is very unlikely to happen.

@Shanling I tried doing the firmware update to 2.0 but my M0 keeps saying "FV.CHECK ERROR"
My sd card is the proper format, M0 is fully charged and I followed instructions. Any idea of what might be wrong? Thanks for the help!

Hard to say, isn't your M0 at 2.0 already?
Other common mistakes, are you sure you unzip the file and put it into root folder(main folder) of mSD crd?

It was in Version 1.5, pre-ordered from Musictek
I just managed to get it to update. Kind of weird but it wasn't updating with my Micro SD that is formatted in FAT32, so I tried copying the .bin file to my other card that is exFat and that one updated right away!:thumbsup:

This needs to get fixed. This is the 4th time this happened to me in only a few days. Firmware is 2.0 and the device just randomly freezes (or is it when I switch earphones?).

Hey guys. Can u pls help me.

Got my red baby 20 mins ago. Was trying to update firmware from 1.5 to 2.0. 64 GB exFAT. Freshly formatted. M0 Firmware archive was extracted in the root folder... And after checking the firmware and reboot now all I have is just a bootloop with "Firmware Failed"

Any solution?

Card should be formatted to FAT32

Fat 32 is limited to 32 GB partition. My cards a 64 and 128.

And there was no error messages about card. It was fully readable by player.

FAT32 isn't actually limited to 32GB, just depends on what tool you use to format it. Anyway, you can format your card back to exFat after you update the firmware, but it need to be FAT32 for the 1.5 to 2.0 firmware upgrade to execute, Shanling has said as much. exFAT will work for future updates

exFAT is definately not the issue.. I am using a 128gb with exFAT. I too extracted the update file into the root folder and i still had all my songs in the same card in other folders. The m0 was able to identify the update file and update to 2.0 from 1.5 with no issues..so you probably had a corrupted update file or something went wrong during the update. I wonder if shanling has a way to force install the firmware in cases like this..i assume your M0 is bricked now...

Weird, Shanling has said the card needs to be FAT32

How to update:
1. Make sure that M0 is fully charged.
2. Unzip the file and copy “update.bin” file into root folder of micro SD card. Card must be formatted to FAT32.
3. Choose “System Update” in system settings and wait until system restarts.
4. Check in settings “About M0” to be sure new firmware was installed.

Interesting, i didn't read the instructions before upgrading..i merely just copied the file into a newly bought 128gb file together with all my folders...Lemme check the card tomorrow..maybe it was factory installed as FAT32 with 128gb..i wasn't aware you could use FAT32 with 128gb.
