Shanling M0 Pro - Ultra-Portable Hi-Fi Player, Now With Balanced Output!

Had you got a chance to use it along with high radio interference (say, urban crossroads and similar)? What is the stability of the connection?
I've used many times while commuting to work on the tram through the city center and never had problems with interference (unlike the cheap bluetooth headphones Skullcandy Dime 2).

Urban places will be mostly fine. You can sometimes see dropouts if you are in open fields, depending on the position of M0 Pro on your body.
But that's fairly typical for all Bluetooth headphones.

Shanling 3.5mm-4.4mm BAL
GuCraftsman 4.4mm-2.5mm BAL
Both Amazon purchased.
Been liking GuCraftsman. Have 3 of their HP cables and 2 adapters.
you can also get a 2.5mm balanced to 3.5mm balanced at https://www.veclan.com/engappliance_sel_one?eng_ApplianceVo.eac_id=41

I have not tried this adapter myself but I have a couple of their earphones with 3.5 TRRS balanced connector that work fine with the M0 pro. This connector has 4 pins TRRS vs the M0 5 pin TRRRS but it works fine.

After few (about 10) seconds main (player) screen is replace with some... wallpaper? ...with some image. I can click on the screen to return to the player screen. What is the image and how to disable it?

Later addition. Aha, It is "defsult artwork" for folders without artwork. So, the question is: is it possible to turn artwork showing off?

We do not recommend using balanced 3.5mm TRRS headphones directly with M0 Pro, it's not built for them.

No, it will always display either the album cover or the random background from our system

Like, what type of USB input is it? What is its function?

Is it a dedicated USB input of DAC? That will work with M0 Pro.

If it's USB slot for connecting drives, that should work, but it will make no difference if you connect M0 Pro or 10$ USB drive.

If it's USB slot for connecting smartphones or iPods, it will not work with M0 Pro at all.

As mentioned in our reply to you, we think it should work, but can't confirm exact pairing with these headphones and their USB mode.
So, do you have any iea why it is not working with the Fiio M5 but work with androids... I really really really need you or somebody at the company to test out ANY b&w headphones through their c2c cable... that should not be impossible... but what is impossible is to buy this product blindly. B&W is a fairly big headphone company... is there not anybody that knows this ?

That's question up to Fiio, not something we can answer.

We do not have B&W headphones to test. We can only recommend purchasing M0 Pro from some place with good refund policy

"We do not recommend using balanced 3.5mm TRRS headphones directly with M0 Pro, it's not built for them."

Is what you are saying is the balanced connection is mainly to be used as a source for a balanced Amplifier.?.

They are saying that, if you want to listen balanced, use headphones / IEMs with 4,4mm pentacon plug and Shanling's propriety adapter.

M0 Pro is using 5-pin TRRRS output, which we configured to be both compatible with single-ended and balanced headphones.

You can use M0 Pro in balanced mode with the 4.4mm adapter we sell, you can make your own adapter or you can re-wire your headphones using the 5-pin TRRRS 3.5mm connector.

It's not designed for the old 4-pin TRRS balanced 3.5mm.

They are saying that, if you want to listen balanced, use headphones / IEMs with 4,4mm pentacon plug and Shanling's propriety adapter.

I wouldn't call the adapter proprietary, the 5-pin 3.5mm TRRRS jacks are normally available on Aliexpress, so anybody who wants to can make one.
