Can you please tell me, what DAC is it?
Its actually a car dac. The helix p6 mk2.
I'm using it in the car. Its not a major issue, just irritating that i cannot keep the m0 always connected. Everytime i get into the car and start it i have to reconnect the usb.. If not it never connects. Just troublesome that i cannot leave it connected when i off the car

Yesterday I updated mine to 2.1, I always do a factory reset and I check all the options to leave "my defaults" brightness, time..etc but when I checked EQ something wrong happened, without touching the screen itself highlight OFF option but in fact it was activated "classical" EQ, I realized because it souded a bit soft than usual, so I clicked to OFF again, now it works fine but seems a bit strange behaviour under EQ.

My unit was working just fine on version 2.0 and with 2.1 I don't notice much of any difference. I suppose thats a good thing.
I removed the 75 ohm inline resistor on my Etymotic ER4 PT and with the added sensitivity it has much more authority.

As far as sound quality goes I just want this player to be a little darker and thats about it but Im being hypercritical. Im a sound quality first kind of person and I don't mind going though the quirks of a poorly implemented system to get it but this little M0 UI is a second nature kind of experienced which is what all players should be and therefore the small form factor Is the way to go.
I would like to see the M0 go up against more expensive DAPs as I truly believe it can hold its own.

Shanling and Sony are my two favorite dap companies. Sony for quality and battery life- sound. And Shanling for giving the user way more value for their purchase besides having great build quality and sound.

The M0 sounds better than my M2s did, if they keep improving stuff and still having insane value pricing they are going to be hard to beat. Just think what they could make as a flagship model and maybe only charge 400- 450 dollars.

I bet it would stand with the 3000 dollar flagships for sound quality  Because this little 100 dollar M0 is one of the best sounding daps I’ve owned. I like the sound better than R3 and I thought R3 sounded fantastic when compared to ak70 and zx300 se out. Only area where little M0 is weaker is power output. But I don’t use any hard to drive stuff no problemo for me :)

I just had the M0 go head to head with the Chord Mojo at a friends house using the Audeze LCD-XC. I know this is going to sound hyperbolic but the M0 held its own. Both my friend and I agreed that the Mojo was different and in someways better in-terms of more layering but it wasn't a deal breaker. In no way did I feel that it overshadowed it to the point where it became clear that the Mojo is worth pairing it as a mobile device. My friend was completely caught off guard and said that if the M0 existed before the Mojo he would have bought the M0 instead. I was planing on purchasing the Mojo after borrowing his for two weeks but I don't think its necessary anymore. This begs the question of how much better the AKs are if they pair them with Mojos.
I have been though so many DAPs, some good, some average but this M0 should not exist, its an anomaly sound quality wise, UI wise, price wise and battery life. I hope to hear about other people giving it a fair review against the more expensive players but I feel it might suffer a bias from fan boys who have invested hundreds in more expensive DAPs.

I agree, as much as I really like Android OS DAPs, the M0 and M1 did not disappoint...as a dedicated DAP my Hidizs AP200 is awesome, anything more and it's not so great... Kind of wish Shanling would try their hand at an Android OS DAP, if the M0/M1 is any indication of what they can do I'd sell my AP200 for a Shanling Android OS DAP...lol
