Introducing Shanling ME700 Lite
5-Driver Hybrid Hi-Fi Earphones
Shanling ME700 Lite is based on the same concept as our original Shanling ME700. 5-driver hybrid combining 4 balanced armatures with 1 dynamic driver, advanced crossover design, 3D printed shell, premium materials and highest quality of manufacturing.
But with new look and new sound for a new audience.
ME700 Lite opts for a different, brighter design. With gold logo on pure white shell, shiny stainless-steel parts and beautiful gold-silver cable.
We significantly adjusted the overall sound tuning, in a way reflecting this new lighter look. Compared to original ME700, new Lite version offers more neutral presentation, with focus on clarity and precision. Where original ME700 was perfect for long relaxing listening session, ME700 Lite is exciting and energetic. We achieved this change by switching to a Titanium diaphragm dynamic driver and hybrid construction cable, that combines silver-plated and gold-plated copper.
Available at international markets at the end of November.
MSRP: TBA

Today we look at She AE3 on HFN. Reviewer Nano concludes that it is one of the best three-driver IEMs he has ever listened to.
The full review, now on Headfonia!
Early impression of the Shanling AE3: Bass is on the lighter side of things with quick decay and precise articulation. The mid-bass punch is rather polite. The midrange is the highlight of the AE3. Vocals are bodied with good presence and clarity. Treble has moderate extension. Quite airy but slight lack of sparkle. Very smooth expression. Soundstage width is average and depth is good. Overall, a pretty solid IEM with a strong vocals display, I like it.
First impression
Warm and laid back tonality. Very easy going and is great for long listening sessions. Quite good clarity despite the warmth. Bass has great impact and rumble.
Sad to say this, but I may have to let it go
I feel like I need a bit more bite in the vocals and a bit less warmth/midbass.
Update: apparently tip rolling and source can help a lot with the warm. Changing to a neutral/bright source and the bass is instantly less overwhelming. Very, very good.
The ME700 fit is very versatile. It could be used with msany different tips of many different sizes and still can achieve a good seal.
The only problem I have now, is comfort. The bowl of the IEM is quite large and it rubs on my outer ear. Gets kinda painful after a while.
