Finally got H7 to scan all my files in TF card.
- made sure all tags are in ASCII
- made sure no double multiple value tags
- removed all unnecessary tags

Make sure you are in TF card mode.
Try to delete H7 from your device's BT menu and pair directly in the Eddict Player app.
Make sure you have firmware V1.5 and newest app.

Are you running Android or iOS? And what model.

About the H7, I was finally able to try it recently and like the overall sound a lot. I think it's definitely better than Gryphon to my ears and I even preferred it more than the Q7 & DX320 (stock Amp card) so that's great. I had one question though, when I tried using my DX170 as a source, I was not able to output any sound from the H7. Could that be an issue with incompatible cable? Pairing the H7 with my phone worked fine. I did not have access to other cables at the time so @Shanling is it possible to use a DAP as source?

i use wma1am2 as source, it produce way better sound than from a smart phone. Do check my msg in other thread. I really hand off to shanling for able to produce such a good dac that scale with different source. Thumb up to them.

And yes, the volume dial is so satisfying to use ...

I own a M8 and would like to go with the H7 in order to drive better my ZMF VC, but I want to obtain an analog natural sound not too punchy, a relaxed sound, will the H7 feet my requirements, as I had a "bad" surprise with the DX 240 sounding too dynamic (punchy).

I can use the iBasso DX170 as a source with my HiBy RS2, iFi Gryphon and Chord Mojo 2 without issue. I only had the issue with H7 so just wanted to confirm that this was supported. It could just be an issue of bad cable, I did not have my own cable at the shop so was using a generic one that was provided to me.

With H7, left side of all the headphone I own sound louder.

However, when I connect my headphones to ef400 or btr7, the balance on both sides sounds normal.

I think I'll have to call Shanling for repair tomorrow.

Are there any others who have experienced the same symptoms as me?
