Ok, so briefly how to take H7 apart:

!!Warning!! We do not recommend taking apart our devices. If you facing any issues, reach out to your seller within warranty or directly to us if the device is out of warranty. Proceed with this only at your own risk.

1) Take out both wheels. Simply pull them off, they are hold in place by friction and plastic spacers.

2) There are two brass rings around the volume pots, unscrew them.

3) Simply lift up the front panel.

4) Now the main boards can be pushed out of the aluminium frame. Push carefully from the front (display end), the boards will come out of the rear(RCA connectors end), with the back panel still attached.
!!Warning!! The PCB is connected to the frame with one cable for the antenna, at the rear and on top side. It's a small coaxial connector, disconnect it before pushing the board any further.

Now you have the boards out of the device and can do whatever you want with them.
For the batteries, they are hold in place by lines of glue connecting them to both of the boards and they are soldered in place by two posts. Exchanging them is fairly easy, but you need some basic repair skills.

No, it's only receiver.

You mean the velvety pouch that comes with the H7? I use it with my H7 and even with M9 and haven't seen any problems with pain coming out of it. But I didn't tried to soak it yet.

Insides of H7 are not glued, they are just fitted, with some additional foam on the edges.

We always try to help users if they decide to repair their device by themselves. Not sure why you have such a pessimistic view of us.
Placed my order just now because of this!

@Shanling YOU GUYS ROCK!!!

I would like to have more comparisons to the higher end daps.
I gave some brief impressions compared to the N8ii.
I'm happy to answer more on this if it helps although I'm aware from other threads that this might not be helpful to you

Yes, you compared them an im very thankful  . I havent heard the n8ii tho, so the comparisons agains something ive heard like the M8, M9, dx320, sp2000t, sp2000, sp1000, Kann Max and a couple more would put even more light on this subject for me. Thanks anyways, i appreciate your comparison very much!

OK here's my take. I don't often keep more than one DAP at a time, if I get one that I think is better then I sell the other on.

I had the SP2000T and the DX320 and I prefer the N8ii over both.
The H7 from a pure sound quality perspective is not as good as the N8ii or the DX320 however it does run them close in certain areas such as treble response.
I think the H7 is closer to the SP200t and again from memory I'd say I prefer certain aspects of the H7.

Not a great help I know but I'd say for the price the H7 is exceptional value in comparison to those TOTL DAPs.
As a percentage I'd say that the H7 is easily around 85-90% of the DX320 and maybe a little less to N8ii. Bot the best measurement tool but when you consider the price difference, this is definitely where we get into the principle of 'diminishing returns'

I use the H7 most days and it really is an excellent device that for some users will take away the need for a dap

Received my H7 today. The unboxing experience was very minimal, would have been very happy if it was with a leather case which is definitely required for this master piece.

Intial sound impressions: Got the wow factor after many months probably after a IERZ1R and now again. Every song I played put a smile on my face.

Paired with SENN IE 900, FIIO FDX, FINAL AUDIO E5000. All 3 sounded well and bought the glory back for my picky IE900 😉 which was not having synerygy with chord mojo 2.

Excellent SQ, sound stage and very powerful.

I previosly owned SHANLING M8, Ibasso DX300 - amp 11, amp 12, amp 13. At present, I own chord mojo 2, Fiio K7.

Out of all, I loved shanling M8 the most, now H7 which is a much upgrade for me interms of SQ from M8. H7 is not as warm as M8, but this will be the upgrade for any one who loves M8 to the core of the heart ( atleast for me 😊).
How close is the H7 and Mojo 2 in sq? The mojo 2 is very attractive because of its EQ

OK, thanx! It seems i need to pass then. Last time i compared my M8 to the sp2000t, the M8 won hands down. Even on full tube setting the sp2kt was too aggressive and sharp. Not only that, the M8 won against AK Acro ca1000 and that was confirmed by 3 other guys in an audio shop (including the seller).
I also prefer the M8 to the dx320 which i had (with additional amp12EXN and amp13). The dx320 was bit too aggresive in higher mids. The timbre was perfect tho.
So it seems the M8 still tops the h7 slightly.

Can anyone comment on the audio sync via the Bluetooth connection between H7 and a TV and a phone? Some of these DAC/amps and DAPS can’t lip sync properly when watching a movie or music video via Bluetooth, especially from a TV as source. The DX320 for one, although the latest firmware got it very close via Bluetooth and a phone. But Bluetooth and TV are way off.

H7 doesn't support aptX Low latency or any of its alternatives, so there would be some delay given the Bluetooth connection.

Thank you for the honest reply. Dang, I really wanted this but I really enjoy movies, live performances and music videos. Major bummer. Beautiful piece tho.
