I'm still hoping that @Shanling offers a solution to the occasional skip/glitch in audio which has been reported several times here (and elsewhere) fingers crossed!!!

Just imagine what a discourage is the glitch (fully predictable) like this in the last minutes of classical opera CD, e.g. “Deidamia” — “Nasconde l’usignol” aria. I seriously considered purchasing another ET3 for my secondary system, but…
Is there anybody who could edit the firmware? If Shanling team is too busy, maybe someone else could fix it, I would pay him.

Some people are complaining of insufficient control of CD playback (choosing a track) — well, it’s not a problem for me, but why I can’t simply play my CD from start to the end without any glitches? Am I asking too much?
“voice of one crying in the wilderness” — please don’t support me, even if you care.

It would be much more fair if:
A. ET3 had no CD drive at all;
B. It was pointed in its manual that manufacturer is not responsible for smooth playback of any CD.

I think your unit is defected.
I have glitches during playing CDs. But I get one glitch per playing ~5-10 CDs. I still think it is not good.

May I suppose it’s all because not any CD is longer than 60min? Not all my CDs are that long as well. It seems to be just a firmware error that’s not hard to fix. What is disturbing me is total silence of Shanling in this regard.

I have a lot of CDs that are 74-80min. For my ET3 it is not an issue.

Since the ET3 doesn’t show total playing time, just tracks — it’s hard to see the exact glitch timing. But never had glitches other than near the end of CD.
Zero issues here too.
Do you press any buttons during the playback? Pause or skip?

Might it be some buffering issues? Rooted in the hardware? That’s why the manufacturer doesn’t reply.
I like how it sounds, the Eddict player (Android, not IOS) is much better for me than HiBy music, but I’d like to get any answer to my questions. Unfortunately I’m not alone.

I did press. No issues.
In your case it can be mechanics issue of CD drive.
You need contact a store and ask them to replace your unit.
