I am currently torn at the moment between these two products and although I know they are both very different would like to have opinions from you guys on what you would pick given the chance.
 
I would like to add also that i would be using these on an i pod or a laptop, if this changes anything.

If you're planning to use this at ALL outside, the HD448 wins hands down since the HD555 is open meaning it'll leak sound in and out.

thanks for the comment man, but considering using them inside on a laptop what are the differences? how much better quality sound does the 555 have and how far does the 448 bass go?

everything is better on the 555 except the bass.  The 448 has better bass in quality and quantity
