Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 and Wireless!

Been using this headset for a few months now, love it! I do have one issue however. I can't seem to use it in skype/discord/voice chat?

It's like it doesn't work like a headset for PC, all I can do is listen to music on it. Do I have to download a certain driver or something? When I change the input to Momentum 2 in, let's say discord, the noise cancellation disappears and instead it plays the noices outside back to me, also I don't get any sound from the PC, so I can't hear other voices or music.

Anyone have a solution? Should I just use a cable when doing voice chat on PC?

You would need an adapter that supports both transmitting and receiving bluetooth data at same time.

This 2 did for me:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00PV00NHE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -- has aptx, but bit more money. Just so you know, you cannot change volume on windows mixer with this adapter - you have to do it with the headphone itself. Bit expensive.. I ended up returning my m2w before the 15day return policy ended so returned these too. I might buy it again and keep it maybe.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009ZIILLI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -- has no aptx support so it didn't sound as good as the other. It supports bluetooth low energy, but only on windows 8 and 10 (I have windows 7 so no low energy). I returned it.

I tried https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G3J1I5M/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 too, but I couldn't get my on board mic to work with it at all. I returned this.

Thanks a lot, while I was waiting for an answer I found this http://www.modmic.com/products/modmic-4-0

Maybe it's worth a shot? I'd rather not spend too much, you know?

Can I ask if you tried switching the Leaf DG50 into "call" mode, as indicated here?

No. I didn't actually try that. I simply tried to connect it and record my voice -- I'd rather it do it automatically than me manually having to change modes every time tbh. If you try it as the link shows, let me know how it works out!

Hi, when I connect my Momentum 2 wireless to windows 10 I get stuck on the low quality telephone mode (like when you have a phone call and can hear yourself). What to do? Please help. :frowning2:
Are you able to mute the mic in the PC's volume settings?

I have this same issue. I usually have to delete the connection and re-pair/connect the headphones. I think this is a bug/issue with the Windows BT driver... I have tried this with a windows 7 computer and do not have this problem. I also think this started with Windows 8. They have not changed the driver for it. This is the ONLY platform (and version) I have this issue with. Mac, android, etc...

BTW, this is not the only BT headphone I have this issue with in Windows 10 (which is another factor that makes me think it is the Windows driver that is to blame here).

was looking into grabbing these puppies

However i'm using a Nexus 6, which doesn't support Apt-X.

Iv'e read in some places that it would only affect in case of lip syncing while streaming videos and stuff like that, and that it shouldnt really affect pure audio files

can any one confirm ?  Will the difference be negligible ?

What would you recommend ?

Thanks!

I have used the M2 with 6P and now the Pixel XL neither of which have apt-x. The sound quality is still great but I only listen to audio files.

Another last question before I grab it

Can I walk outside freely with it? What I mean is,
should I be scared of exposing it to the outside or something, I'm not just talking about on flights or train rides, but rather a 10 min walk to the train station everyday with dust/heat/humidity what ever being in some contact with it, rather than purely sterile environment like airport/train station /home

I walk between 3-5 miles each day. While I wouldn't recommend it, I have been caught in the rain, lived in a dusty environment and I treat them carefully, but things happen
