No problem, always willing to answer any questions if I can.
Sorry. Can’t see the pictures.hey hi!
This Sennheiser ie800 is original? Thank you!
I was thinking nail polish too, but I didn’t because I don’t want to risk the chemicals possibly damaging the cable, and, it’s not permanent (will chip off eventually.) Would like to know if someone has found a good way to do this.Anyone have a simple trick to easily tell L from R earpiece? The L and R letters on each are nearly unreadable except in the brightest light, and the tactile bump on L is too small for me to feel?
Thread? Nail polish??

I used nailpolish on the cable but it soon came off. There is a slight tilt in the housing that you can feel even in the dark that aids in the insertion.Anyone have a simple trick to easily tell L from R earpiece? Yup last 5 digits of the serial should match what’s on the leather case. Very hard to spot physical differences. Although the tips on the fake ones are usually loose.Try to match the SN on the packaging barcode with the leather wallet.
Can you also post a closer image of the sennheiser logo on one of the cans? Also, a picture of the Y splitter and the L 3.5mm jack.
Hard but not impossibleYup last 5 digits of the serial should match what’s on the leather case. Very hard to spot physical differences. Although the tips on the fake ones are usually loose.
I also noticed that the original has a darker green cable that fakes.Hard but not impossible
I have my second purchase of this IEM done by checking the SN and by the images (the first one died after its 6th anniversary). The fakes usually have a somewhat less neat moulding marks and a somewhat stiffer curve of the Senn logos.
Here is mine for comparison attached.
