Must...not...follow...that...thread...

The thing is that it will not come to Romania either way, and it would be pretty bad out of me to buy without listening first, but everyone is having such a good opinion of mojo, that I seriously think I will end up with it.

Oh the seed was planted long ago.  It's going to blossom whether you like it or not!

You loved Hugo with ie800. Well close your eyes, save two thirds the money and enjoy Mojo. It really is so close and a great match with the ie800.

Man, that's just mean...  mostly because it's kind of working on me too.

And my DAC appears to be dead....   it might be time for me to really start looking into something new.

@Dobrescu George @Caruryn

I must admit that writing post from cellphone is so suffering and annoying

I am not able to sign in through tapatalk because of network problems.

Unfortunately, Mojo is out of my budget. I will buy them (C10 and E12A) in different time periods. So, i can't afford the aforementioned products at once.

According to your statements, X5ii is a candidate which is close to be eliminated from my list.
Btw i'm just curious, how about hm650? Did you audition it?

The X5 and HM650 were both on my list until I tried out the X3ii+E12A combo.  I have absolutely no desire to upgrade now, granted portable listening is not my top priority but I am 100% satisfied with The X3ii>E12A>IE800.  If I travelled 80% of the time I think the Mojo would be worth it for me but it's just too expensive for the amount of use it would get.

Hehe, you will get the desire once you hear from a better dap/amp.  X3 + E12A is a respectable set up, but trust me, that IE800 can shine so much more.

I'm really liking the X5i/C5 sound combo...  but I'm really quite tempted to do a Mojo myself, plus I seem to be needing something for my PC now

Anyone experienced tube amplifier for IE800?
Thanks!

I too am wondering this as the only thing I have with tubes is a first gen Lyr.  I have not and DO NOT plan to plug any of my iems into that thing for a laundry list of reasons.

I only have a OTL which does not work with low impedience. But I really like sound of tube than SS amp.

I really like the IE800 combo in my sig as the FiiO combo sounds quite organic and musical to me.  I would love to hear what the tubes in my Lyr could do with the IE800 but alas that will have to wait til I pick up some new gen Schiit.  I've fully joined the Church of the Holy Holland Glass and I can't pickup more of my current set for less than 125/150 a tube... almost what I paid for my matched and tested PAIR  :frowning2:

Listening to Neil Young's Tonight's the Night @ 24/192 with the IE800s through a FiiO X5 and E12A. Can't say I hear all 192kHz but my goodness is this setup ever special.
