Ok, if you want rumours, here you go:
The new Sennheiser IEM flagship will be called......IE9! It will use a new material for the membrane, found on the Moon (the material cannot be found on Earth, unfortunately) which will explain the price tag.
It will not use the bass knob for bass tuning, but rather a built-in graphic equalizer that will be customizable by pluggin the phones into the computer thanks to a special connection port. Anyone will be able to create the sound he wants. The soundstage will be even bigger than the IE8, with an unseen 3D feel. Instrument separation, timbre accuracy, imaging etc will be top notch, of course.

He's just making an approximation (the Senn representative), which in the end is going to most likely be very flawed.
