Hmmmm ....

Yeah .. Senn's got plenty o' competition these days. And, frankly, that "Made in Germany" ethic has been long dead in my mind. What with the VW emissions scandal and all ... Still, I dig my 600s and 650s and IE-8's. But those are decades old now. If the new IE-300 is more than just a brand -- i.e., the iem punches well past its price class -- I'll order them.

Honestly, due to the ridiculous accessibility and low cost of every manufacturing process imaginable, Chinese IEM manufacturers can rapidly iterate faster than ANY big audio company. What they lack in initial quality, they make up for with sheer quantity of attempts to get it right. This is now bearing fruit these past 2 years. There are dozens of manufacturers now that make legit hi-fi audio products at much more fiercely competitive pricing.

I've seen very good comments on the A7 and the tunning options seems interesting. Are you planning to buy the ie300?
I'm priming my ears for it.☺️

FWIW, it doesn't seem fair to lump all German brands under what VW did, especially when auto brands from a few other countries did it, too (Nissan, GM, Suzuki, etc all stretched their math)...in an industry completely unrelated to audio. The concept is that IE 300 transducers from production run #1 will sound consistent with production run #1,000, and similarly in different markets. This is especially important to Head-Fi, where we share impressions and even data that others depend on to make purchase decisions in various markets.

Probably yes? haha. it's always best to go and try for yourself to see if it suits your taste. You could try out some other new stuff while you're there too anyway. :L3000:
👌😊
