Thank you! This genuinely told a story, a digital conversation, and a serious piece; great! I can imagine the joy while this was made, considering the time, pioneering.

Cheers!
Thank you for the kind words. : ) "Environmental Disorder", the solo piece from 1983 that I dedicated to Edgard Varèse (December 22, 1883), was a joy to make. All pre midi and no computerization, just processed analogue syntheses, tape echo and a "Radio shack" reverb, all executed in real time on 4 tracks. : )

The more i listen, the more i am addicted to its sound stage.

Senns HD 8xx are great in this regard, so I understand well what you mean and I trust that your micro iDSD Sig works well with your Senns :)

Just recently discovered Faithless and Maxwell Fraser, so sad. RIP :disappointed:

I used to listen to Faithless A LOT when I was younger. I had no idea Maxi Jazz passed away, sad news indeed. RIP :frowning2:

Yes, it's a shame. Faithless (Maxi) is one of the rare excellent, true artists/musicians who, whatever he would make, was good. When I first listened to their last album, I thought instantly, what is this? This is not the Faithless I expected. But then, when I heard it again, I thought, "Wait a minute, this is not that bad." The third time I listened to it, I said... this is actually great; what I was thinking!? Then, later on, my thoughts were, it's a masterpiece again! He would make so many more masterpieces... damn!

On the other side, I am so disappointed with the last album of Depeche Mode. I don't get it. I have the same thoughts about them and their greatness...but I just can't describe what to think of them now. It doesn't blemish their past. But they didn't need something like this, just an extremely average album. I wouldn't buy it. I like listening to CDs...

Cheers!

...and I'm just starting to listen a lot as I get a lot older. : )

Anyway...the HD820 continue to impress me, finally got around to comparing them directly with my HD800S.
The S sound cleaner and more open, airy in the upper treble giving a better feel for the delicate harmonics making the sound a bit more real.... but, hard to give up that bass and body presented with the 820 and with its relatively wide and immersive soundstage ......gets addictive. :)

I think that the problem with new music from bands such as Depeche Mode is that their old albums set the bar extremely high, so fans hope to hear something as good.

Better late than never, enjoy :)

Of course, they where World Class, almost impossible to keep delivering like that and they did have a long streak amazing band as is

gotta keep ones mojo workin. : )
A whole ocean to explore. If you already haven't, try Detroit Techno. It was my favourite in the '90s. I had great times and luck to spend time in clubs and see live gigs from DJs such as Jeff Mills (The Wizzard), Derrick May, Kenny Larkin (favourite set from all Detroit DJs I've seen), Carl Craig, Plastic Man...
P.S. Don't pick such collections as you posted... rather, single authors and their albums... such as Laurent Garnier etc.
The only collections I can remember that are good, and they are among my favourites, is by Cafe del Mar, from vol.1 to vol.10. Just stunningly good! You can find that on YouTube. Other collections from Cafe del Mar are also good. But these first ten are just masterpieces!

If you would need help... just ask; I'll be more than happy to do that, :)
Just stay away from DJs like Tiesto, Armand van Helden... commercial DJs.
From the newer generation, I like Black Coffee. It's a DJ, not a drink : )
I have lots of electronic music stored on Spotify. I don't know if sharing is possible since you use Tidal. But if it is, I could share that if you want.
Enjoy!

Cheers!

A new album from Everything But the Girl came out; it's stellar. I've listened to it five times in a row today on speakers. I'll wait for a CD to appear, and then I'll enjoy Sennheisers. Guess which will suit better, 800s or 820?

Cheers!

EDIT: it is out...buying : )
