It just shows me how each other headphones sound different - from experience with two of three . Now jast  two. Look at the older graphs also sounds weaker and more natural - as opposed to  the new. bass stronger and deeper .the field of Middle i  felt well and clearly treble with a superb Image. And maximum transparency.

Would you guys say that the HD800S is more analytical sounding, or better suited for music production?

Compared to what? What do you mean by analyical?

Anyone able to compare the classic to the S on a Violectric V281 HP amp?  The V281 does wonders with my HD650 and modded HD800. I run both balanced with their Sennheiser XLR cables.  I listened to a "bright" CD with male voices (4Him) through the HD800 and V281 and was bothered with very little 6Hz peaking. There was mild irritating peaking with a soprano female voice (Sandi Patti). There was a natural bite to the horns when listening to Kool and the Gang.
My 650's with the V281 now have
1. treble sparkle and air
2. a wider soundstage
3. accurate, present and deep bass (not quite Audeze present and deep) but very satisfying
4. increased clarity with a midrange that has very good ambiance and timbre.
I'd just like to know how the S compares using this HP amp.

Does someone has direct connection with Tyll???... his review, on his website, about V281 and high-end headphones (including HD800) was very informative.
If he doesn't have 800S yet, then maybe someone can 'loan' it...

That's not Tyll's review, innerfidelity isn't just Tyll Hertsens. That is a typical audiophile writeup by John Grandberg. It's better than most but still contains the word "palpable" so a review it is not. :)

Of course they can, just not PRAT and palpable. If they do that they hand in the review card and get a fantasy card. :)

Meh...nothing with reviewers stating how any gear makes them feel IMO. If the music moves me, mission accomplished. If the music (by association the gear) moved the reviewer then that would interest me. Much more so than some graph someone made by homemade equipment. Not once have I gotten out a graph to listen to music.
