Emotionally is more enveloping than the 800.
Can't comment though about endgame because this is very subjective and personal.

Ok, well now do I grab the 660 or get the 800 again the thing about the 800 I found was that it did not engage me like I would want. Do you find the 660 engages you with the music. You know emotionally not technically.

Yes, the 660 does that. But when I want maximum emotional engagement I reach for the 600 paired with the tube amp.

Same here for 800...and yes, I find the 660 engaging...ymmv.

Had all Senns from the HD600 up to the 800; reset the top end to a Focal Clear for open backed and a LCD-XC for closed and am happy with both. That said, there is something special (imo) about the 6 series...call it natural-ness, timbre, etc. Now have added the 660 and the 6XX. Don't foresee re-purchasing the 600 as I'm enjoying the 660s too much!
