Will the HD660S stay, or will it go........
Clearly it must stay...if for no other reason than the symmetry on your headphone rack!
(must say I never seen a music stand used for that but to each his own...pretty high tech as well)
Is it easy to replace the grill on the 580 Precision? I don't like the original plastic...
I am voting for stay!

Nice photo! Is that a more recent HD580 with the metal grill? When I got mine back in the mid 1990's it had a plastic grill. Maybe you replaced it?Will the HD660S stay, or will it go........

No, mine is also one of the original ones. Bought soon after they came out. I replaced it with the metal grills recently. Standard Sennheiser replacement part.

Just the same as replacing the grills on all the 6 series - i.e. very easy!

Yes, it's my music stand! They don't normally live there(!), but I thought it would be a good place for the photo shoot!
You should definitely keep it to have the entire collection. I have a feeling the 660S will be the last in the series.

Maybe the main thing the 660s brings to the 600 series is it's ability to be well driven by DAP's. Reason enough for Sennheiser to also add a Sony format 4.4 balanced cable. The sound quality I get out of my Sony WM1Z with these makes me believe they were made for eachother Don't believe I would get the same result with a 600/650.

The thing that has come as a surprise to me is how little difference there is in volume between the HD660S and the HD650 direct from my iPhone. It really is only a matter of one or two ‘clicks’ on the volume control difference. How does an HD650 compare to the HD660S from a WM1Z?

The difference between 660S and 650 is barely a 3db!
