just curious for people who went with hd650 over he-400, as i assume a lot of you did, what won you over in the end?

For me, it would be be the mids. That's what they have over the HE400s. I also find them more comfy.

On the other hand, the HE400 has better bass, and treble energy. Its a more aggressive sounding. The 650 is relaxing and pleasant.

They compliment each other well, though they do have a similar-ish tone.
