Yeah the ZDS may be my next one. Build time & avialibility plays a big part in the decision making with the custom amps.

I just took delivery of a new ZDS yesterday. It arrived in four weeks, which is not too bad of a wait time.

I have yet to roll my Mullard ECC35 but have really been enjoying the amp with the RCA Red base and Tung Sol 6U7GTY with the HD650s.

Your Glenn amp looks really lovely. You must have inherited an a nice stash of tubes.

Yes , I got lucky with the tubes as Vernon had a handpicked set included. Congrats on your ZDS. Great thing about that amp is that it comes. Maxed out.enjoy

I'm surprised you got someone to give up a Glenn...
I got lucky and saw it as soon as he listed it. The Zana Deux, stratus, & Glenn amps aren't in the for sale thread very often. When they are they don't stay long.

Nice man! Traveller? I'm thinking about upgrading to a Linn lp12

VPI Classic Companion! Nice. I'll take some pics once it's here Sunday night. It has a Goldring 1042 cart, but the Denon DL-103R I've been using sounds fantastic with the 650's, and I think I will probably put that on it. The Denon just sounds natural and fluid, like it isn't emphasizing or taking anything away. Highly recommended cart for around $250 on eBay from Japan; it does require a heavy tonearm, or weights to properly dampen, as well as a low MC capable stage.

Never heard music through the 650s sound the way it does through the analog rig. Clean vinyl is essential though.

Nice man! Looking forward to seeing the pics. My 650's and before that my 580's love my vintage rig (Thorens td 145/AT440mla-> Dynaco phono stage-> Sansui 9090) Been thinking about a Linn Sondek lp12 and a Blackbird for a while though...

Nice Thorens!

I too manage with a "vintage" TT.  Mine is an Merrill moddifed The AR Turntable with Sumiko Premier MMT tonearm and Denon MC carts.

Thanks man. That AR is awesome! Something seductive about the way the better wood bodied vintage turntables sound. I've gone Turntable shopping a few times over the years, and can't find anything under a few grand I like more than the Thorens. It has a warm, full bodied, chill sound that I've loved for over 35 years

HD650 tames poor rock recordings like no other, without turning the music into mud either.

Enjoying Elastica's Radio One Sessions and I'm thoroughly impressed.
