has anyone ever ordered new drivers for their HD650 ?? I broke one of mine and I was wondering if there were any problems or sound differential.

Note the part numbers listed.  Not sure where you're located, but best of luck.

Guys, I'm seriously thinking on getting the HD650 but I wonder which amp/dac should I choose for them.
What do you think will be better? the Schiit Valhalla 2 + Schiit Bifrost combo... or the WooAudio WA7 (the basic 999$ version)??

Sennheiser HDVD800.

I am thinking of getting Schiit Audio Vali + Modi 2 Uber stack...appears to have positive comments reading through related comments.  Talk me out of this, I guess? LOL  Or should I save up for an Asgard?

Their minimal form and compactness are a huge factor to me since I can easily transport them when I travel.

Just don't forget the two wall-warts you'll need, now that the Modi 2 Uber has it's own.

Too expansive. What about my suggestions? not good at all?

I believe the HDVD600 + an balanced dac or the HDVD800 would be nice. Listened to it with HD650/700/800 and audeze LCD3 and it sounds amazing!

I used to own the Rotel RA-01 (in fact it's still in the cupboard of dead electricals) and it did have a good headphone ouput. It was certainly better than my current Marantz PM6004.

I have a Rotel RC-1090 (Pre)/RB-1080 (Power) combo and the headphone output on 1090 is actually really nice.
I've plugged my LCD-2 into it yesterday just for lulz and couldn't tell much difference from Schiit stack.

If you go for the WA7, I'd recommend adding the Optical option.  I don't think you need the power upgrade...the power supply that comes with the standard version is pretty impressive...built like a tank.  I LOVE the amp section in the Woo.  The DAC is good but not great.  For a single package, I think it's hard to beat the value/performance/looks/customer service balance of the Woo.  Then again, I'm smitten...

Got a pair of the HE-400 for the second time, this time with the Focus-A Pads. I remember the HE-400 having great bass, but I'm honestly surprised that the HD650 keeps up with them very well. Perhaps it's because I'm unknowingly volume matching using treble, which would push the HE-400 bass down and the HD650 bas up, relatively speaking. Either way, I thought having the HE-400 again would be a nice option for when I wanted a bit more excitement listening to electronic music, but I'm not so sure it's necessary.

I'm also surprised in a different way. With the Focus Pads and an HD600 headband cushion on the HE-400, it's actually feeling a bit more comfortable than the HD650, despite the weight difference. They fit around the ear better, are a bit softer, and with less clamping force. So, instead of putting on the HE-400 for livelier bass, I may put them on for more comfort, which seems completely backwards.

If you put them on backwards remember to switch the cables.

I have the WA7d + WA7tp combo and it's pretty amazing with the HD650's. I actually just received the HD650's a few nights ago from adorama's last sale, and I'm extremely happy with them.
