Good news ! I manage to remove the pads and foam. Its easy but very tricky. However I ended up destroying the pads and now its very flaky. I replace the destroyed foam with DT 770 pro foam and reuse the pads for temporarily basis. I hide the skin inside within the driver, hard to explain. I guess I was an idiot all these while. In future, I now know how to remove and replace carefully as I figure out the trick. So special thank you to Baycode and Prolol! I even manage to clean the driver and white rings as there are all flaky dirt all over the place.

Do NOT throw away the "destroyed" ear pads. They are still fine and they look in rather good condition. You can fix them using VINYL GLUE to reattach the torn pleather(vinyl) to the plastic ring of the ear pad. These are the ORIGINAL HD250 Linear1 ear pads, with the thin pleather layer over another fabric layer underneath, and they sound THE BEST of all the other alternatives, even the original Linear2 ear pads, IMO at least...
To my ears, neither of the Beyer's pads (770,880 and990 sound good with the 250s or the 540s Senns'. I don't know why, I tried them all as replacement for my HD540, logically they would be supposed to be perfect... IMO, one of the best bets, if not THE BEST for the 250 (as for the 540) are the Wang-Yifei PLEATHER (not velour) ear pads.
The right way to remove the pads is to pull them out from INSIDE by inserting three, or even all four fingers if you have a small hand, UNDER the inside opening of the ear pad, pointing towards the outside to grab as much as possible of the "flesh" of the ear pad, and slowly pull out. The idea is to spread as much as possible the tear load on the ear pad.

Yes, I have no intention to throw away and I think my interpretation of "destroyed" pads are taking it far and wrong term ) There is just wear and tear. But instead of using VINYL GLUE, what I did is use my fingers and place them inside of the edge of the earcups. Of course once in a while, after usage here and there, the skin flake will be remove here and there but that is expected. So no problem. However at one point, I would like to do what you iterate. However, am not that hands on. Any recommendation of the Vinyl glue to use ?
Reference to the original Linear 2 pads, are you referring with to the stock HD250 Linear 2 pads with HD250 Linear 2 ?

Why would you think they would be perfect considering they are from different manufacturer ? What pads are using with your HD250 and HD540 at the moment ? Using Yang pads ? Many people call it Yang pads. But you call it Weng-Iffey earpads so no idea.
The right way to remove the pads is to pull them out from INSIDE (not from the outside, like in the YouTube video...) by inserting all four fingers of the hand (to spread the tear load on the ear pad) UNDER the inside hole of the ear pad, deep toward the outside, to grab as much as possible of the "flesh" of the ear pad, and slowly pulling out. Sorry I didn't see this on time...
After all these years I still love my HD250. They scale so very well, and while not as technically proficient as the ZMF Verite closed, it still holds its own and sounds fantastic with tubes!
Very expensive and could not afford that setup, I wonder how do you save up. But anyway, everybody, anyone notice sonic differences between 300 ohm and 600 ohm ? I have 600 ohm and running on a solid state. They sounded analytical and bright.
