Hello Everyone!
A quick update on the tour… a big THANK YOU to everyone who has expressed their interest! For now, we have selected four “steps” on the tour for each region, and we’ll do an interest check and contact more people as we get close to the end of that round in the tour. The second post at the beginning of this thread has been updated to show the tour order.

We wanted people to discover and get comfortable with the headphones. With holiday vacations and frenetic shipping this time of year, we decided to ship out the HD 820 to the first people on the tour on January 6th. This way, tour participants will be able to enjoy without being pulled away from family or meeting work deadlines before vacation! We sincerely wish everyone a happy end of the year, and look forward to reviews and action in January

I reviewed the HD820 after listening to them for almost a month, and it was a quite interesting experience. The staging and imaging of the HD820 are as good as it gets for a closed back pair of headphones, and the treble extension fixes some of my qualms with the OG HD800 treble.

However, the bass response and macrodynamic punch could be better. I also think the price premium over the HD800S can be perplexing to many potential buyers.

Technically, the HD820 are excellent, and thus deserve an audition if someone is looking for a TOTL pair of closed-backs.

still waiting for the loan after 2 months...kinda uncool tbh guys.

even if i do meditation every day to try to forget about HD820, patience have its limit.

I already have a listen for 2H before, imaging and soundstage were incredible. tonality hit or miss depending of the music. but i didnt have SMSL SU9 and SH9 stack at the time. hope to get the loan unit very soon but i begin to fell like i fall in a trap.
