Just wondering if the E10 is capable of powering the HD 650 adequately.  Any ideas?  Some say that it's barely enough, which I am entirely fine with, but others say that you need an amp that's at least $1000.  Thank you.

You will not need to spend $1000 for an amplifier.
Yes, you could get by with the Fiio E10, but your not going to get the best from the Senn HD650.
For something like the Senn HD650 (300-Ohms), I would think you would want to spend a little more for an amplifier then the Fiio E10 (The Fiio E10 DAC (WM8740) is fairly good).

A Dac Destroyer, USB-DAC, $50-$60 on eBay
And a tube amplifier, like the Indeed MK2 (6922 or 5814A) $96.

What budget would you be willing to send for a DAC and Headphone amplifier?

I already have the FiiO E10 and I wasn't planning on buying more headphone equipment.  Would there be a better high-end headphone that would pair up perfectly with the E10?  I am personally a fan of Sennheiser's headphones because I've owned 4 different cans from them and I love the sound stage and overall performance of the cans.  Perhaps I should change things up and get something like the DT 880 or DT 990.  Do you think those would work better with the E10 since they're 250 ohms?

My Fiio E11 can decently drive my DT880 Pro 250-Ohm and DT990 Pro 250-Ohm.
And I believe the Fiio E10's amplifier is almost as good as the E11's

If I do decide to go for the HD 650, would it be a good idea to get the E9 + E10 combo if the E10 alone doesn't provide enough power?

Thank you for suggestions

Why not just pass on the HD650 for now and just get the HD598 (50-Ohm), very easy for the Fiio E10 to work with.
Get the HD650 when your really to pay maybe $200 (or $300) for a DAC/Amp.
Save your cash for now, price are going to be better in a few months (Oct-Nov)anyway.

If thinking about changing gear be aware that HD650 and Maverick Audio TubeMagic D1 are made in haven to each other but if not ready you most likely will not happy since not gonna hear much improvement
