They go a bit over my budget but i appreciate you advise nonetheless.
I think my path ends with the hd650 or x2.
Already think i pretty much discovered my favourite closed backs on the momentums and hd25.
The dt770s are not really my thing.... they dont sound bad but i dont like them very much.... sound a bit lifeless to my ears and a bit too bright overall (not harsh but still brighter than i would like....) so i will probably sell them.

I think i have a very nice collection with the hd600s, hd25 and momentums but i really would like a bit more bass and fuller sound than the one on the hd600s so i am really tempted to get the hd650s or x2s.

Really hopping for a black friday deal to test one....

If you can go up to 349usd check the AudioTechnica R70x which has more prominent bass than HD650.
Fidelio X2 should serve you well in terms of bass quantity, but it's less refined than HD600 and HD650.

I am more tempted on the hd650 i have to admit.....
First i have always had good experience with sennheiser headphones (not all, didnt like the hd202 for instance.... that yes is veiled to my ears....).
Second, i read a couple of stuff about the fidelios i didnt like.... something about glue.... that made me step back a bit to be honest. In theory the x2 would be perfect for me since usually i use portable stuff to drive my headphones and they are easy to drive but at the same time it seems to be unanimous that the hd650 is overall a superior headphone and that it just shines more and more with better gear.

I am portuguese my friend....
Its a no go. With customs taxes i would pay much more than that.
If iit was not for the taxes i would also jump on the massdrop hd6xx deal....

I just got my hd600 a week ago so i am still discovering thieir strenghs and flaws....i have time....

But yeah its very easy to feel tempted for the hd650.... specially when you see stuff like this on youtube....

May not work... dont wanna take the risk.... even cheap stuff sometimes stops on the portuguese customs. If they suspect the price is too good to be true they ask you to show the purchase invoice. If the price of the invoice does not match the one on the package then i am f-ed..... heard if people that tried the same thing to get xiaomi phones from china and for some it worked, for other not so much.... its a gamble.... also i dont even know if massdrop ships to europe and sice its a deal for american territory i dont know if sennheiser would give me the 2 year warranty.... also if i dont like them amazon always gives me the chance of returning them at no cost so....

First off MassDrop does not send invoices.
 
Secondly all you need is a PDF editor use any old invoice from your Amazon account change the prices and description. The average headphone is around $40 USD nobody is going to check anything once they see it cost $40 they will charge that, if no invoice they will charge about an estimated price of $40 for a headphone which would end up being $20 in taxes.
 
Cellphones are way different same with video game consoles this is because smartphone prices are common knowledge so they can easily tell when you are faking it everybody knows a PS4 costs $400 US or so. Same with Smartphones costing around $400 to $500 unless its a crap blu. Offcourse you cannot fake those prices, I know because I tried it they will always know the prices of those items same like a Nike Shoes you cannot fake prices of Nike Shoes because prices are common knowledge.
 
But you can buy a HD 800 and fake the price as $40 and it goes through perfectly
 
I don't even bother to fake invoices anymore I send it through without an invoice and they just slap on $20 Tax regardless of the price of the headphone

  What would you guys describe as the closest sound to the HD 600? it could be from sennheiser aswell or a different brand

 
I just got a pair of AKG 712 Pro's and I posted in the 712's thread how these headphones sound almost alike but I do prefer the 600's sound over the 712 if I had to pick one. Got the 712 pro's on ebay new for $235.00 U.S. a really good price they where definitely cheaper then the 600's I got on Amazon.

So I have an important question, I noticed Polk Audio has a subwoofer with an amp designed to power bookshelf speakers for free.

So lets say one was to buy the Micca bookshelf speakers and connect it to this sub woofer which would amount to a lot less than the price of a HD 600. basically under $200
 
How would that setup compare to the HD 600?
 
How would that subwoofer bass compare to that of the HD 600? I am going to go out and assume the HD 600 would still be a lot better if you boost the 30hz EQ slider? since getting the same quality off a headphone from a loud speaker means 10 times the price? or no? Polk Audio claims 35hz on that sub though I wonder...
