  Thanks, have read it several times and ordered the HD600, I think for a 1st audiophile headphone this classic would be fine.

Solid choice either way. Join the club! I'm really happy with my set and arguably, I didn't make a huge upgrade coming from a pair of HD558s. Make no mistake, they're better, but I think I'm already in the range of diminishing returns.

That's exact the reason of my decision. I have ordered X2 first, but cancelled it and went with the HD600.

  At some stage I'm probably going to get a pair of HD650 drivers and swap them in and out as the moods takes me .... muahahahahaha [evil laugh]
 
BTW - should have HD800 coming from Rizki tomorrow (much excitement!)
 
Next review will be T1 vs HD800, and after that the HD600 vs HD800 (when Rizki's finished with them).
