You must be single - I don’t see my wife EVER giving up that much closet space! Lol!

Actually married for 27 years and together for 30. We met in our mid thirties after I did "my thing" during my twenties. My wife has given me the back room/ sun room as my music room. She gets the rest of the house.

Sounds about right - I have a man cave in the basement.

My wife of 34+ years claims that my sons and I have turned the whole house into a fraternity. That doesn’t mean she’s giving up any closet space!!

I’ve got a nice leather covered ‘omega’ stand for the modified 580’s I keep in the room with my main rig, and a more modest dedicated stand (with a smaller footprint) on my nightstand for the 600’s.
I wouldn't recommend using "omega" style headphone stands since it applies constant pressure to the ear pads and I think for some might be the reason for early ear pad replacement as was noted by many in some of the various threads that I frequent.

I have part of one hanging area in our whole walk in closet. Lucky for me I live in T-Shirts and jeans.

I don’t disagree with you for the stock pads, but it doesn’t seem to be an issue with the Dekonis.

The Dekoni pads probably have a much higher grade of memory foam. I have sheepskin Dekoni pads for my TH600 and also a spare set for my HE560, and I agree that the pads don't get flat, w even after 4-5 years

Does anyone else like the old marble look better? Maybe it's just grown enough on me :D

These look almost exactly like my 580s (which I updated with the metal grilles), not that that’s a bad thing, but I’m also partial to the marble look on the 600’s.

I am surprised they didn’t go with the 650 cord, which seems to be universally acknowledged as an improvement.

The HD650 cable makes the sound dull on the HD600. I AM NOT a cable believer, but in this case the difference was obvious when I compared.

I think I like the look of the new ones better. I always thought the marble was kind of cheesey looking.
