Hi I am new to the forum and sorry if this is the wrong section to post this.
I have the Sennheiser hd 595's and also i bought the astro mixamp. I recently found out that the astro mixamp only outputs the 5.1 that its suppose to only if my hardware outputs DDL or DTS aka dolby headphones. Right now I planned to use this with my new pc that will be arriving in a month to game/movie/music and will have the EVGA X58 SLI LE motherboard without a sound card. I am wondering if my hardware will output DDS or DDL. And if not does anyone know what sound card i should get for the headphones or amp i should get. Basically i just want the best system i can to prepare me for surround sound gaming. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
