Hey guys,Before, I commit buying something I'll regret, could you answer the following questions? Have there been any sort of scams lately about these earphones? Like people on ebay selling fake ones? I"ve done a quick google search and nothing came up. Can someone give me pointers where I can find whether the headphone is geniune or not? The earphones in dispute are, the cx270.

In short, there always is for Sennheiser, Bose, and Monster.
It just really depends on where you're buying from. If you're buying from Sennheiser direct or one of their authorized dealers (go look on their site in your country or region), then buy away.

To be honest and not to knock Sennheiser, but if you've found Head-fi you can do better than all the low end CX for SQ and usually price also. With low priced Mees, Ecci, Brainwavz, Xears, etc. out there, no reason to go down that road even if fakes weren't an issue.
