So, KEF above Amperior? But hard to get a good deal. Now still hunting portable over ear because on ear really not comfortable for long time. Sigh.

I own the HD25, HD25 amperior, HD25 Aluminium, Beyer DT1350 and HD26 PRO.

HD26 wins in my book. Terrific mids. Better treble with well extended bass superb isolation & comfort.

agreed based on my limited time with them at RMAF, they are clearly superior.

like to add they drive great straight out of a portable. Much better than the lower impedance Dt1350.

The Earpads are soo ridiculously comfortable could wear them for hours on end. On top of the fact they isolate MUCH better than the HD25 and almost on on parity with the Beyers.

As far as supraaurals go, they're a must try

only if you have really small ears

They are not much bigger than amperiors, but more comfortable,

Thank you mate. But due to budget issue, I can't get other headphone yet. Unless I sell my Amperior, which I think I don't willing too. :frowning2:

I have an aluminum showdown!

Here's 2 pairs of sennheiser amperior, the blue amperior is re cabled with an oyaide set. The silver has the stock apple cable. Also is my grado sr325is

I can DEFINITELY tell the oyaide cable is an improvement over either of the stock cables that come with the amperior, it sounds unhindered and cleaner (probably the most notable improvement out of all re cables I've heard) I still feel like the sr325is is king of the hill most of the time for rock or metal. For heavy fast paced music the grado is perfection, it's really something to hear

As you can see I had to purchase the hd25 cable clamp for the oyaide cable (the amperior's cable clamp is a bi%ch to remove if you don't have a T6 bit or screwdriver)

Also I got a nice cheap case for the amperior, it fits my imod in it too

maybe i should get an oyaide cable. the stock one is really annoying.
The oyaide cable is stiffer than the lower part of the amperior cable, it's not as stiff as the thick part of the stock cable.

Definitely sounds better though, I'm eventually going to replace the pads on my blue amperior with the new ones on the hd25 aluminum, then I'd love to compare the custom amperior vs the hd25 aluminum
