  +1 for the Beyer DT880's. Just make sure you get the 600 ohm version one (AND STAY AWAY FROM THE "PRO" VERSION 250OHM). Requires a strong amp to drive though @600 ohms..

I'm worried about excess bass with the Beyers. I have Fiio E07K DAC/amp and I would be afraid that won't be enough juice to drive a 600 ohm headphone.

That's why I mentioned the 880's. I own the 990's and love them but they do have more powerful bass......the 880's are MUCH more neutral.

I can expand it. I just got the AKG K612s today. Another neutral open can. However, they like a lot of power.
