Personally, I thought voltag3 was a bit batty and overzealous however, the SE530s out of the box have noticeable rolled off highs but they are extremely EQable. They even EQ well with the EQ settings straight out of an iPod. So as long as you are ok with EQing, they are not all that bad, it's just other more current phones sound great without having to use the EQ on your playback system.

^Oh I do, Purity Audio's KICAS caliente... easily one of the best amps out there under a grand, specially for the 650's... I'll be satisfied until I can afford the PS1000, HD800, or something similar in the future. Check the reviews here on headfi if you're interested... Purity Audio is going to have another group buy soon, with a $75 discount on the amp... get in on it while u can...
