Schiit Lokius Impressions & Reviews

Love Schiit but both of these fixed freq EQ's are simply limited. Even if they have no audible negative effects I've never owned a Headphone (15+) or speakers (35+) that could have had all of their frequency domain issues solved - and really not even close. Wheras a parametric EQ can get it right or certainly closer. My digital toneboosters (UAPP) cost about $5. Well worth it.

^^^ Probably. I have the Loki, and prefer it over software. The additional 2 bands make the Lokius more desirable. An 8 or 10 band EQ would even be better.
Parametric x4.

Hey guys,

I recently got the ho200 and su 9 from smsl and really enjoying them. However, as an audiophile basshead, I miss the slam from the Xtra bass switch on my ifi idsd micro signature. Thinking about adding in either the lokius or the zen can (or zen dac-- not sure why ifi has so many products that seem redundant).

Anyone have both in line?

Yup, my guilty pleasure as well to dial in just a bit more bass!
I add a little to the Sus, LCD-5 and T+A, P
Do you use the zen dac/can wirh the extra bass, or does the lokius provide some good bass slam? I prefer the XLR connection for lokius, but kike the true bass and potential to use 3d effect from ifi. I tried using my signature to feed the ho200 this evening, but it muted the bass. Must not work through the rca out. The zen dac does though. I could feed the su9 from rcs and then go xlr from su9 to ho200. Open to suggestions.

The zen dac does though

That's affirmative, ZEN DAC applies its bass boost to RCA outs, but XBass+ on iDSD Signature was tailored specifically for its headphone outs. Thanks!

Hi guys, I picked this up for EQ: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BTM0YO/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

However, when my DO200 is on high setting, this added some background noise. When I drop to "Mid" power output, the noise goes away, so I guess that's a solution. So, I guess my question is does the Lokius add any noise? Wondering if there is something to add in the mix to get rid of the noise, but then it seems silly to have some many things in line.

My thought is...any addition will add to the noise. Whether you/we can hear it or not, that is the question. I don't hear any added noise when I have the Lokius in my headphones system, active or bypassed.

Anyone tried the lokius between a high end DAC (Cambridge Audio Azur 851n or CXN) and a Mcintosh amp using XLR ?

I’m using my Lokius between my Chord DAVE and McIntosh MHA200 without issue.

Yes, I’m able to tweak the sound to my taste with no loss of sound quality with the Lokius. I can’t imagine my system without it. I’m using both the RCA and XLR output to two separate amps, my GS-X MK2 and MHA200. Switching amps is flawless.

No problem, it’s a great little analog device. It’s definitely worth a tryout.
Wished it was a stock item but seems I have to wait a bit for my order to ship.
