So call his office and complain.
I’ve emailed them all (Trone has no say in state politics). It’s the old three tier schnook system that wine importer Joe Dressner (RIP) wrote a treatise on about three decades ago. People pay good bribes, I mean money, to enforce a system (limited distributorship) of monopoly that imposes excess fees for a “service “ nobody wants. I need a drink. The thing that’s so dumb in MD is our sin taxes are high and we’re surrounded by other options. If one can reach New Jersey it’s the promised land (in a very limited context).

Touché.

So, I take it that you recently put in an order for a Vali 3 you don't really actually need? ;p
Not yet... loving MJ3 soooo much that I actually don't feel the need. <g>

OMG now I am truly ROTFLMAO.

No offense to New Jerseyans, I have had some wonderful times in your state... just not at EWR.

I'll step up and pay a modest amount for better aesthetics, more appropriate lengths for cleaner routing, and better shielding. My objective is better shielding to keep EMI away from low-level signal cables and retaining signal quality of my sources - not improve signal quality.

Not too shabby for around $37 ...

As long as you are happy, all is well.

Sadly, Texas is among those that prohibit mail-order liquor. So much for individual rights. 🙄

** Somebody's paying somebody, I suspect.
wild. Arkansas has no problem with it.
hell, we can even Door Dash it.

(Sorry for the dust, it'll be well cleaned soon as my main listening space is undergoing a remodel in the next few weeks, and everything will be dismantled to safeguard the gear from the construction work.)

I am also an upgraded power cable advocate. I know, I know... "There are miles of cable in the power distribution system, and hundreds of feet of wire in your walls, so how much difference can a one meter power cable make?" AFAIK from my basic knowledge of electromagnetism, that last meter is the most important one, especially when there are single-ended connections in the system. No hum, no hiss, no errors when you use well-crafted cables. They don't need to be terminally expensive, either, just well made.

OMG, I am agreeing with Ripper... noooooooo! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Oh, and always cross power and signal cables at 90 degrees (I do, even when the signal cables are balanced - why tempt fate?).
Power cables definitely make a difference on my amps. The Neotech is for the Mentor; i run these Stratus 7s (Wireworld) in my Yggy as well.
Both run ~$100 and are well worth it.

Sunday sarcasm meters aren't accurate enough for that task. Unless one connects it directly to a well known wind power source - once the off-gassing cycle is complete.
Before all of the fancy cable proponents and opponents strangle each other with their favorite wares, let me offer a few facts for your consideration. Most of the Chinesium standard old NEMA 5-15P [male plug] to IEC C13 female cables that I have worked with, and come with electronic gear are pure crap. Although "rated" for 10 amps, and "claiming" to use 18 AWG wire, most of these things use cable with conductors that look like 22 or 24 AWG, and have very poor connections between the wire and the end fittings. Some that I have seen even reverse the hot and neutral connections. So, I can buy that they will offer higher than desired impedance, resulting in a voltage drop. Now, without addressing "designer" cables, I have found that hospital grade cables of the same configuration offer MUCH better performance. They are available with 14 or 16 AWG cable, and have robust end connectors that are transparent, you can see the cable to connector bond. Disadvantages? The connectors are large [because they are robust], and for some reason unknown to me, 8' to 12 ' seems to be the most common length, which means either extra cable to coil up or buy hospital grade plugs and cut to length. On the surplus market, the can be bought for as little as $8, for 16 AWG. I bet that they sound different than the chinesium litz wire cables. see https://www.mpja.com/Power-Cord-12ft-UL-Listed-NEMA-5-to-IEC-C13-16-3-AWG/productinfo/33925+CB/ If anyone compares them, please let me know.
