What a beautiful pair of Blenheims! Wonderful you got 14 years; we pray we’ll get that, or close, with Bismarck. Breed’s not as health-challenged as boxers or such like, but hitting up at 10 or above is challenging sometimes.
Ditto. We keep extra water bottles in the fridge for all of the delivery guy & gals. A little kindness and consideration goes a long way for these folks.
twas I.
Ive been wanting dual monoblocks for years. For headphones it's even more nutty.
I'll be stacking a second Flux Mentor later this summer and doing the same thing with those.
33.5w @ 32ohm is NUTS (two flux mentors).
I’m coming to think that performance on hard to drive headphones is as much a matter of topology as power. Most users find the MJ3 is ‘enough’ for almost all headphones (not the Modhouse Tungstens- 155 ohms, 78 db/mW sensitivity)- @WaveTheory’s recent review suggested that the MJ3 did best on headphones < 50 ohm impedance. The Tyrs have that enormous choke (Mj3 has choke input but much smaller), which reduces the noise that would otherwise limit its use for headphones. Haven’t yet decided if I will go down that nutty path- have a Freya+ coming in soon and want to see first how that impacts the rest of my chain.
This happened again to me yesterday at work. I went to the Device Manager and saw the one USB error in the list. Right-clicked on it and picked "Update Driver". Picked "Browse my Computer...", then "Let me pick...". Selected what was shown and let it reinstall. It's now working again...until it's not. I'm using Win10.
Perhaps a silly question: my daughter bought an electronic keyboard (musical, not computer). It has built in speakers and so (obviously) an amplifier. It has “line out” jacks as well. Could the line out jacks be routed through a Saga or Vali and then to a Vidar? I don’t want to hurt anything. This raises the obvious question, “Why?” Well…Why not?

Yes you can, just turn all of the volume controls to zero before you plug anything in and slowly turn them up, the keyboard should sound a lot better on you system and the $3 little speaker in the keyboard.
