Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Time to build something for myself that is prettier than what I built for @bcowen🤪 Those are HANYU KAORI - JAPANESE EDO WHISKEY GLASSES. ( I copied and pasted to be sure and get the spelling right.) I also bought a matching decanter. Woods are tiger maple, bloodwood, cherry and Indian rosewood. I also did thin strips of tiger maple. Blanton’s single barrel tonight while I listen to some smooth music. 😉
A single like isn't enough! You've outdone yourself.

And here you thought @bcowen doesn't contribute anything of value to the world  -- he spurs you on to greater achievements out of spite :ksc75smile::ksc75smile::ksc75smile::ksc75smile:

My Avatar space is for sale. Any MFGs that want to buy it can make an offer. $$ or products is fine. I'll even get a tattoo with the MFG logo if the offer is sufficient. 😏

Beautiful work, and gorgeous glassware!
Well I have to outdo @bcowen of course he is probably drinking from Dixie cups but still his board will be second prettiest lol. Note how the glasses go along with the fine stripes of tiger maple in the thin strips. I try to do well for others but I tend to take more time with my own.

His is ok, but it lacks the racing stripes in between the rosewood. :ksc75smile:IMG_7432.jpeg A better angle.

Is there any other way to enjoy Jello Shots? 🙄

1. That's not an official logo

2. I highly doubt that image is of a real Made In America tattoo

3. And Schittizen is misspelled. 🙄

k, can you put some numbers on that? For @dunedansaxman ... how big a room, how sensitive the Zus, where on the volume knob....
Zu's are about 98db sensitive in a 12' x 12' room and the Lyr 3 that is feeding the Aegir is at about at 10 o'clock. If I want to walk out into the rest of the house and still have it loud there I might get to 12 o'clock on the Lyr. So roughly half the range still to go.

PS: highly recommend *any* Sheffield Labs LPs. All are excellent sonically. Most, musically (there’s a few ORFAS-only ‘for the sonics’ here/there). This one, is epic for a really large, 3d soundstage that works so well on any planar speaker.

True dat. After reading your post I paused long enough to play Thelma Houston's I've Got The Music In Me. Preamp/amp are Mj3 and Aegir 1. I bought this album sometime in the 70s. Still NO surface noise at ANY volume.

Thanks for the reminder.

I have several. Dave Grusin's 'Discovered Again' Direct to Disc LP is my favorite.
