When are we going to see a Roon-Ready streamer from Schiit? Seems like it would be a nice addition to the DAC / AMP stack. You can call it Schiit-Stream!
I would be well pleased to hear any feedback down the line from any Zu owners once they get their Aegir 2's hooked up and have given them a good listen. Especially if they'd run Aegir 1 prior to that.
Seems like we have beat the manual thing completely into the ground.
Time to get back to cats or something.** Here are some tracks that I followed for a couple miles one rainy afternoon near my house. That is about the size of your fist if you are wondering.
Before Wednesday, he shout/ask for a new toy like a kid, after he got it, turn quiet and went to work seriously .... I guess he will siiting at the front door with beer and wait for the Fedex guy...
(kidding)
I noticed that the tuning of Schiit products had moved away from their usual "warm" sound, which I've now put down to how much Mike influenced them, though I'm sure my thinking is over-simplified.
@Jason Stoddard Congrats on the release of Aegir 2. Nice humongous xfmr...
Aegir 2 product page has wrong value for input sensitivity of 14.3/12 (ref 25W rating). shouldn't it be 15.5/12 for 30 Wpc / 8 ohm rating ? or is the gain different than OG Aegir ?
I always mess up with the gain calculation, could you please kindly explain it more for us?
Edit: Read @tincanear's calculation explained at his original post.
By the way, Aegir 2 said to be 250W power consumption, same as Aegir 1 which I found 250W at the serial number sticker, but the website spec page wrote 450W.... (could be 450W is running as mono block?)
@Jason Stoddard Merch idea: T-shirts in black and/or white with the manual outline drawings of various Schiit products with a simple logo, nothing else. I'd buy 'em!
I have been working through the list of stories. I am really enjoying hearing about how the company has progressed. I have had Schiit Equipment Magni3 and Modi3 for few years. I love my devices. Lately I have been wondering as I read the stories if Schiit might ever jump in into the Audio interface space things like Focusrite Scarlett and UA Volt. Maybe that is an uninteresting space with nothing Schiit can really add or innovate in, as many of the stories mentioned.
Knock out the manuals in stone blocks and put in Joshua Tree national park. Then we’ll travel there, take snapshots and selfies. Eventually it will become the Schiit Festival!
