Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

Random (or not) questions... anyone know what the Output Impedances are for these 3 amps?
  • Aegir
  • Vidar 2
  • Tyr

Thank you.

I could be wrong, but 0.1 ohms means 80 damping factor for Aegir. That's not "as low as it gets", but whatever. I asked the same question for Vidar and it answered 0.4 ohms, which means 3.2 damping factor. Both are listed as >100 damping factor. Vidar 2 had no answer and suggested reaching out to a human. If Vidar 2 output impedance is 0.4 ohm, I would really like to know that. For Tyr... this question is a "closely guarded secret".

I miss talking to humans... and I still like paying in cash.

Getting old is not for sissies
So I found out a few days ago when I was diagnosed with a Thymoma :slight_frown:
Early stages so prognosis is very good, and should be just a surgical intervention.
Interestingly the surgeon will be using a "robot" to do the actual surgery that he will control. He is very proud of "his" robot.
I could just think of Luke getting his new hand in Star Wars

The specs should be trustworthy, while the SchiitTalker should be double-checked. And the specs do say >100 damping factor into 8 ohm, 20 Hz to 20 kHz (for both Aegir and Vidar 2). From this the output impedance can be taken to be <0.08 ohms (for 20 Hz to 20 kHz). Unless I'm sorely mistaken?

I think both are nice looking and I am trying to figure out who in my family I could get this set up. My son already has a few pieces of Schiit equipment so he is taken care of. I will talk with my daughter about this for her husband.

True, I am always listening for The Big Thump from my father.
You're a professional that can bring him back from the dead.
Buy a little earthquake monitor and calibrate the Richter output by dropping the weight of your father to the floor a few times.
Connect its alarm signal to your audio.
Easy listening after that.

Long live the Da Vinci.
A very very beautiful platform which makes "opening up" a patient past tense for a huge amount of procedures.
