Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

How did you even know that there even WAS a Ghia?
As a life-long Ford guy, I was a Mustang lover and remember the TV commercials and the sudden wave of nausea when I saw the commercial announcing the Mustang II and Ghia model. :frowning2:

** Strangely enough (or maybe not so much) I read an article that stated the Ghia version had lackluster US sales everywhere except in the San Francisco Bay area. :D

Since there only is that one UK-based MQA Ltd. that does the licensing and everything, they haven't just gone bust in the UK. They've gone bust, period.

I received 2 of the three month trials to Tidal when it first came out. Think it came out to $1 a month for 6 months. And I staggered them, so it was uninterrupted for the whole 6 months. Then I cancelled and haven’t looked back since. It’s no wonder they are going under. 🤣

Looks like Bob Stuart should have stayed with Meridian rather than starting this new adventure.

Nah, I always applaud it when someone is willing to take a risk to try something new.
I also trust in the market doing its thing.
I'm an American in that regard, what can I say… 🤪

Also: Filing for bankruptcy protection doesn't mean that they're gone. A bit of restructuring here and there and I'm sure they bounce back just fine to haunt us for a few more years.

Didn't Kate Jackson drive one on Charlie's Angels?

I seem to remember they also had the glass back Pinto...

Tyler and Alex really want to do some crazy colors. We'll see. Not as regular production, though.
Next: A college/university licensing scheme! Think of your Schiit in Notre Dame shiny gold! Or Tennessee ORANGE!

Yeah, No.

And WRT the phono pre’s for specific carts? BOMs might be simpler, but think of the SKU proliferation, and we know Jason’s thoughts on that nightmare.

In the UK it looks like MQA has gone bust —> https://insolvencyintel.co.uk/mqa-limited/

MQA limited goes bankrupt. It's the entity licencing their 'IP' to Tidal. Tidal a minnow in the streaming world, that was purchased about a year ago for ~$302 million pocket change by a ~$41bn "multinational technology conglomerate" Block Inc. (formerly Square Inc.) MQA a questionable if not failed differentiating technology that record labels passed on a while back. That writing's been on the wall for a while. It matters, but how much? So what next for Tidal/Block?

That depends upon whether a firm is, or deemed to be, a ‘going concern’. In U.S., Chapter VII filing precedes liquidation / distribution of net assets; Chapter XI filing is one of corporate financial reorganisation.

My digital coaxial audio cable from Snake Oil shipped Tuesday and arrived at my house in NJ today which I am pretty shocked seeing it came from California. Cable looks good, it works and I am satisfied. I only needed 2.5ft to tidy of my area a bit they used https://www.belden.com/products/cable/video-cable/coaxial-video-cable/1505f seems to be good quality. I would recommend Snake Oil for sure and I will be using them again in the future I am sure.😁
