Question: If I order a new Yggdrasil and I put a Folkvangr on top of it, will it warm up and break in faster? /s
What he said and great music choiice.Nice looking system!
No, IMHO.Question: If I order a new Yggdrasil and I put a Folkvangr on top of it, will it warm up and break in faster? /s
You got braggin' rights too, the most important part of the prize. Sheeez.I have erased at least five replies to that last paragraph. I will just say last time I set up a blind study long distance I spent too much time and money to just win a steak dinner and fine bottle of wine.
Concealing cable types, brands, and diameters would be tough to do.
But I am humble in victory and sent wine for you and your wife, wine heathen though thou art.You got braggin' rights too, the most important part of the prize. Sheeez.
Currently some early '60's Tungsram 6922's. Haven't had much time to roll due to the work situation, but I like the Tungsrams and silver shield 6N23P's best so far. While I am not in the market, I should be able to hear a Folkvangr in the next couple weeks after a friend acquires new tubes to roll. He wants to hear the Utopias with it so I am apt to oblige. I am curious as to what @bcowen is using for tubes since I know his capabilities in discerning between various tubes.
Probably because most of us don't live in pretend-currency world. It's interesting that nobody proposed crypto.
We kind of all do. *sad gold standard noises*Probably because most of us don't live in pretend-currency world.
Naturally I would agree with you on the silver shields, 1975 vintage perhaps or is it the 1974? I can take both years for my friend to hear.Currently some early '60's Tungsram 6922's. Are you sure? Sounds to me like you’re getting close, just by the value of all those vintage tubes that you’ve got stuck between your couch cushions alone…I have '73's and '74's. Can't hear any meaningful difference between them. The '75's are supposed to be the holy grail, but I don't have any because I'm not a billionaire. Yet.
I'd sure be closer to a billionaire if I hadn't spent all this money on tubes. Are you sure? Sounds to me like you’re getting close, just by the value of all those vintage tubes that you’ve got stuck between your couch cushions alone…
I may have just given away some 73’s and 74’s but I tend to hang on to the 75’s cause they cost more. I may have used them in the Melos I am refurbishing. Tubes come, tubes go, some become cat toys.I'd sure be closer to a billionaire if I hadn't spent all this money on tubes.
If not my favorite song, definitely my favorite group from the late '60s and one of my fondest memories:Thanks for that, Had not heard that version before, and it's very good. I'll have to look for some more Rachael Price.
And for context, we're talking about the song that ranks #1 in my all-time favorites, from 1964 to date. The bar is exceedingly high on this iconic song and performance.
