The last time I used Bank of America to transfer money to Germany it cost $30 + suboptimal conversion rate in fees. The only good thing about it was that BoA apparently is in the SWIFT network, so I had the money the next day.
For a while now I've used (Transfer)wise like several people have mentioned. Good rate (i.e. close to what Google and others would tell you as the current rate, no sneaky fees by applying a worse rate), decently low fees, takes just a few days, worked every time. Happy with it.

It's interesting that nobody proposed crypto. Technically you could send a stablecoin like USDC to an exchange in a different country and sell it for your local currency there, if you have the needed accounts. Then again crypto transfer fees can be substantial as well, I think when I first considered using USDT (Tether) it would have cost around $20.

While I am not in the market, I should be able to hear a Folkvangr in the next couple weeks after a friend acquires new tubes to roll. He wants to hear the Utopias with it so I am apt to oblige. I am curious as to what @bcowen is using for tubes since I know his capabilities in discerning between various tubes.

Currently some early '60's Tungsram 6922's. Haven't had much time to roll due to the work situation, but I like the Tungsrams and silver shield 6N23P's best so far.

I have '73's and '74's. Can't hear any meaningful difference between them. The '75's are supposed to be the holy grail, but I don't have any because I'm not a billionaire. Yet.

I may have just given away some 73’s and 74’s but I tend to hang on to the 75’s cause they cost more. I may have used them in the Melos I am refurbishing. Tubes come, tubes go, some become cat toys.
