..."Legions (Reverie)" sounds like it's happening in my room. Crazy-good recording/mastering. I especially love that part.
Wow. You all need to listen to "Legions (Reverie)" on IEMs/headphones: Zoe Keating, on "One Chello X 16: Natoma".
I am streaming from Tidal and it's happily 44.1/16 FLAC (not that strange fractal origami crap : emm-queue-ayyy)

p.s. the 'undertones' and instrument "threads" in her compositions are way cool - and you can follow every thread in this recording.

What do you consider to be the reference recording of Vivaldi's Four Seasons?
For a performance on baroque instruments, I suggest Rachel Podger.

For something different, I highly recommend the modern interpretation by contemporary composer Max Richter.

So I just found a new artist that is ****ing amazing and thought that I would share and see if anyone has anything along the same lines to share back. I am listening to Zoe Keating - Into the Trees. I'm smitten!!! Flying and Flocking is particularly special...

Oh, and listing to this kind of music, I love my Zu's driven by my Lyr 3 and Aegir more every day.
Thank you! I will look into her music later today. You have Zu's so that in and of it self is the recommendation of an enthusiast. I do not own them but I like their looks and I under stand them to reproduce music beautifully and...Oooooo...A Redhead! A Cellist! From Canada and now in Amurica! I shall definitely set aside time to listen to her play. I am a cultural heathen, I know but I do enjoy some Classical Music from time to time.

HUZZAH!

I listen to a few reviewers in several categories, when I know how their palate/ear/tastes correlate to mine so that they are meaningful. Jim Murray’s Whiskey bible is an example. I understand his palate enough, so that I can infer what I’ll like. These folks test more stuff than I ever will, which makes their labours a win for me. Oh, and 1792 full proof, in case you were wondering. You know who you are…

Make some OctoQuads! You gotta have some Belden 1310A around... https://www.iconoclastcable.com/blog/?p=250
I have used 1310A before but I cannot recall how much I still own.🤪 I received several cables with the Sonus Fabers and RELs I am setting up and I will check those cables first. I like Canare 4S11 as well and as best I recall I paid extra for some specialty cables I need to research. I am about to do the 10 or 11 hour drive to get the gear home then I will know better what all I own.

I have to wait for the DC traffic to die down before taking off, such is life.

You can send me a PM of your opinion i'm honestly curious if is woo woo or whatever the term is lol. I could ask my partner to do a blindfold ab and that may get fun LMAO.

Part of me wonders if it's all placebo, even so its still an effect.
And just to add another dimension to cable weirdness - If I swap my DNM signal cable for Chord co cables I have to toe in my active speakers a tad to refocus the stereo image ! and vice versa - yes the fidelity of the music is subtly altered by the change of cables but the presentation of the music is notably different - I have demonstrated this phenomena to friends who confirm I'm not crazy ( relative term ! ) Odd but I'm about to watch Zappa in NY on DVD via Bifrost Multi , Saga and Meridian actives and that's much more important !! --' Ooh ! Rustic setting '

I have a tale of woe from my days of HI FI retailing - after weeks of home trial - shop demonstration , and sympathetic installation in a particularly dead sounding room - the client selected his £250.00 loudspeakers that sounded in his words ' truly wonderful ' and 'its the first time my audio has sounded this good - - - -until a week later - - - - HIFI mag in UK gives his speakers a lukewarm review and he wants his money back !!!!:astonished::astonished::astonished:
