Tom, looking back at my BJC order receipts you should have: All are bi-wired

Thanks, you are so organized!!🤪 I was trying to recall the thinner grey cables that I mentioned were twisted pair, I will get with you later.

Got it, thanks.

I have a tale of woe from my days of HI FI retailing - after weeks of home trial - shop demonstration , and sympathetic installation in a particularly dead sounding room - the client selected his £250.00 loudspeakers that sounded in his words ' truly wonderful ' and 'its the first time my audio has sounded this good - - - -until a week later - - - - HIFI mag in UK gives his speakers a lukewarm review and he wants his money back !!!!:astonished::astonished::astonished:
Lol

Many just refuse to trust their own ears. Can someone else can tell them what they'll really hear and what they'll like?

But I always accept that my system is tailored to 'live performances' rather than studio albums and would sound pretty raucous to some tastes and probably downright awful in a different room !! but I love live music !!

Very true. I cannot ever recall being unsure about any audio gear that I heard and liked.

DUDE YOU'RE AWESOME. I will try it tomorrow... talk about being a rebel... I'm just a piker compared to you. <G>
I tried that on some Bi wire Tannoys a few years ago - I wonder if the impedance changes as you are effectively wiring the two crossovers in series instead of parallel ( could be wrong about this - brains tired today :triportsad: - but it certainly sounded different than with paired links

In retirement I will spent more time and money on gear as I work toward my dream system.
Would that be the Harry Bosch design upgraded to current HiFi Standards? :)

Question:. Is val2++ or closeout Val2+ smarter purchase for conversion to 6SN7 duty? I read and (to the best of my ability) understand their motivation for the change, but I have 5 or 6 6sn7 variants sitting in a drawer, but just cannot swing to a Lyr at this point in life. And good reliable converter source would be much appreciated!
Is the vali2+ inherently “better” than the 2++? I see the price of close out 2+ is more expensive then 2++ why is that? I’m tempted to get one just to try out tubes (I may have a few at work have to see they could just be old projector bulbs lol) and I would want whatever one is the better of the two. I have no tubes so I’m starting fresh.

I got the little very expensive Schiit Vali 2 ++ here the other day and did a "review" here:

Schiit Vali 2 + + - Reviews | Headphone Reviews and Discussion - Head-Fi.org

Its as plain and "black and white" errr or is that "black and silver" ?

I think the silver case costs $10 more than the black.
Inherently better?
IMO ...No.
Same amp except for the tube family...
Either one will do just fine....
No tubes then just get the newer Vali 2 ++.
I have seen used Vali + for sale for less than retail.
