I did not know that. Nice!

That really looks like the audiophile version of the fire fighters' "Fill the Boot" annual fund raiser.

There was more than one reason I didn't buy a pair of Divas. More than one.

I am currently working my way through a bottle of Highland Park 12 a fellow Schiit-head recommended. Interesting stuff, and as suggested, one part water and four parts Highland Park takes some of the bite out (but not all). Pretty smooth, halfway between light and creamy mouth feel, no smoke or peat. Clean finish, begging for a second sip. I also tried a Glenlivet 12. I didn't find it particularly complex, but it was so clean I could see choosing it when you're after something simple at the end of a difficult day.
I am 1/2 way thru Highland Park 12 as well, recommended here or another forum, this follows the Aberfeldy 12 also recommended here. New to the scotch games, what's next to try?

I'm a Tequila and Mescal guy. With all of the expertise and discussion on bourbon and whisky present here, I feel like this may be a good place and time to start my new adventure! 😄

Fun fact about Aberfeldy 12. If you put it in a flask, then put the flask in a cooler of ice before you go into the church, it will taste like Windsor when you try and drink it in the limo.

First time I experienced bruised scotch....
Since I asked the same question a couple of months ago I have enjoyed the Aberfeldy 12, three different bottles of Aberlour (the 16 is my favorite), and "airline" bottles of a few others. The small taste which stays with me is the Glenlivet 12 for its clean straight-forwardness.

I'm not a fan of peat, so all the recommendations which came my way are peat-free. That means, at least so far, not much smoke flavor.

Aberfeldy 12 was the first bottle of decent scotch i ever bought.... when the US/Canadian border reopens I will buy another bottle. During the pandemic I discovered bourbon was more then a bar pour or woodford reserve. Now i like a stronger flavor so Islays are capturing my attention. But honestly i appreciate it all. Hopefully I'll be over 100 varieties of whisk(e)y by the end of 2021

Glenfiddich 12 is a quality pick, relatively low priced. Glenfiddich 12 lends itself to home mixing. I find the Wee Beastie pretty intense, but adding a 1/2 - 1tsp of Wee Beastie to Glen Fiddich was very enjoyable. Glen Moray Elgin Classic is a cheap NAS single malt. Let the pour and the bottle breath to release some of the harsher flavors and smells. Quite nice after that, especially for the price

I will say I haven't done too much on the non-peat scotch side, but if I want no smoke, I typically want "biscuit" (biscuits go with gravy but that is beside the point and why it is in quotes) flavor as well, so Redbreast 12, or something sweeter but less "biscuit" Green Spot. That being said, looking at the state ABC store page, I don't think I can get Spot in this state...

Sorry man, its been a hard year for many people. My wife lost her part time gig, I've been very fortunate to keep my job.
Sorry, I didn't mean to misconceive anyone. I'm quite fortunate and still work, (A LOT) I just haven't been to my place of employment in over a year...
