Schiit Happened: The Story of the World's Most Improbable Start-Up

I would love to see a Thunderdome preamp league table on the site with total sales and daily/weekly updates  :fingers_crossed:

I'd settle for just a charr that shows percentages of new PreAmps sold.

For Example
#1 - Freya + xx%
#2 - Freya S. xx%
#3 - Saga S xx%
#4 - Saga+ xx%
(I have no clue what the numbers are, I just arbitrarily put them 1-4)

Bar graph with the top of the graph being the amount of each products production run. No numbers other then Percent needed

I prefer the Freya + but going by sales is never easy since the pre amps are at different price points. I prefer tubes so my only other option would be the Saga + at less than half the price. The Saga S is roughly 1/3 the price of the Freya +. Percentage of sales would be a factor no doubt. Not everyone wants to mess around with tubes, I prefer to. :smile_phones:

Love this! I have fond memories of building transistor radios as a kid, with my late father and this is one way of keeping the tradition alive. Who knows, perhaps the next step might be to introduce build your own to market (SchiitKits anyone??!!) albeit without the Avermetrics analyzer testing.

So for approximately 8X the cost of just buying something you'd rather build it yourself? I don't get the joke, I guess.

Guess I must be missing something here. Magni retails for $99, yet at CanJam SoCal you can build it for $79.

I thought that poster said "$791" :)

No. The double-secret Yggy self-build is $1791, so I can see where the confusion may have occurred. :D

I think the fact that Jason has been active here in the last days, to answer questions and propose solutions, says a Lot about how this thread works.
It also means @Jason Stoddard has some free time on his hands and should go back to designing kick ass products. Don't mean to be a slave driver but we still need Loki Max and some some other good Schiit. for the humor impaired, Jason should really go to Colorado and do the Summer Solstice skiing thing.

Well, personally, I think his time spent posting chapters here, then answering the rapid-fire questions that always come up, is very valuable ... the most transparent of any designer that I know.
Who else puts up with this Schiit :)

After releasing four new preamps, a new integrated amp and, soon, a turntable, he deserves a solid vacation.
