Fine I'm looking at it from the back sorry
Can you take a photo of the back of one of your Vidar amps with everything plugged in and post it here?

Many this is one of those cases where it is so clean and void of distortion it doesn't sound as loud.Okay, I just did a test. I setup my single Vidar amp as a monoblock. I connected it to Freya using an XLR interconnect and plugged the positive speaker banana plug into the top right binding post and the plugged the negative speaker banana plug into the top left binding post. Nothing else was plugged into the Vidar amp.
I found a constant volume 432Hz tone on YouTube and played it. I measured the sound level with an iPhone app of 88.4db. I hooked everything back up into stereo mode and measured the sound level again. This time it was 82.7db. That is 5.7db less. Just what is expected.

For any one upset or worried about the name of the company or the inevitable jokes that follow, I recommend re-reading Chapter 4 of this book. Then get your Schiit together and get over yourself.
Yes just saw it . I was actually describing the Vidar from the rear view , not right and left channel .That all looks correct. Can you do the test I did?
As a side note, do you see the "R" in between the binding posts? It's short for "Right"....
To make sure, when getting dual Vidars, and running them in Mono, the power is 400 watts PER CHANNEL, right?
How many forums do you need to ask this on??
.
We can click on "Like" for obvious reasons. Has any forum had "Don't Like"? Would that be too confrontational?
Thank you.Warm but not hot . It has been on for several hours.
Mine has been on for 8 hours. It didn't take long to get to the point where you wouldn't want to leave your hand on the top more than a couple seconds before becoming really uncomfortable. Kind of Lyr coffee pot warmer hot if you have one of those. Not a big deal at all. If it was in a cabinet I would want a ventilation fan ready in case it tripped. Of course it's load dependant so for the record the speakers driven are 91db efficient and 8 ohm.Thank you.
