  I found the Asgard 2 to exceed my expectations. I happen to like the SS sound and its 1W is high quality and can drive my HE-500's loudly with plenty of headroom and great sound from the extended sub bass all the way up to the treble that the cans can handle. Some folks seem to think the HE-500's need more juice, but I think that's more of urban myth or perhaps their 1W doesn't hold much Schiit.

Considering I don't have an SS amplifier, I would be curious to try the schiit out of a  Asgard 2 with some othro-dynamics; $250 for that amplifier is a schiitastic value IMO

It's some serious Schiit, even at many times the price. In all my life, I've never seen Schiit so clean. Highly recommended, but not for a few cans like an HE-6 power mad Schiit can. It also does good with high impedance cans like my HD600, a good all round POS.

The logo on mine has been gradually peeling off for whatever reason. However, I find that rough look of my worn out logo somehow appropriately matches the spirit of the brand, and it very appealing. Enough so that I'm making it my current official avatar.

Not knowing much about audio or engineering, I only intended (expected) on reading half of the first chapter or so. Boy was I wrong. Keep them coming! Subscribed and waiting patiently. Can't wait to pick up my first magni modi combo.
