But he does have a WW II German submarine in his back yard---where do you think he got those U boat tubes from?
Does he do little Das Boot scene reenactments for his guests?

I have questioned your honesty and integrity over in the "show us your headphone listening station" forum. Better go defend yourself.
Yikes, must I?🤪

I suppose there is no harm if the Tyrs don't get hot, but the Tyr manual explicitly advises, "Do not stack your Tyrs".

I'm a few pages behind and don't know if this has been answered or not but it's not heat that's the issue here but magnetics.

he is a great looking cat I will admit.

By changing the length of those copper columns, I can change the height of any shelf, I made plenty of extras. The process to get that patina only takes a day and I have done a lot of it. faraday.jpg

Sweet! This is a groovy chart. Thanks!

Anything similar for the more common tubes that can be used with adapters?
Not that I've found. If not on the chart, I usually just ask the resident tube experts here in this thread

What a showoff. Finnegan is there to guard the rack of Melz 1578 tubes visible in the top foto, That rack is worth about 1/3 of the cost of all the other gear. And, you can't bribe him with sardines or anchovies.
I do like to keep a six pack of Melz tubes handy, I hate to waste all that time opening tube boxes.🤪

Yeah, I know I couldn't play at those levels, at least not right now.

As with the really good Japanese Malts, I'm about a decade or more late to the party. 😒
I recently had the opportunity to have an ounce of one of the Suntory Essence experimental bottlings (Vol. 3, malt aged for 12 years in white oak and finished for an additional 6 years in Japanese Cedar). Astonishing.

I sure appreciate all the helpful tube discussion today, everyone! It's been fun to read through during water adds while prooofing vodka. :)

I've got Maestro Pavarotti belting it out in the Blending House today!
