I am quite staggered at the relative simplicity of the design of the MJOLNIR 3 ... for comparison, this is the internal of the Class A amp that I have !!

Just got my shipping notification for my MJ3. They’re on the move!
Congrats! I'm sweating bullets of FOMO with my MJ2, but having briefly owned Folkvangr I know I won't be able to take the MJ3's heat here in Florida. I also need to keep the tubes' warmness to offset the Arya's sharpness.

Mjolnir 3 is interesting. Probably not the best fit for the hardest planars.
I still hold out hope for Rag 3 Circlotron extremities.

Thanks Jason. Yep. Its been a fun week working in Fusion (haven't used CAD since SunSpark CAD 34 years ago in college). I looked at Resin but phrase "toxic chemicals" caught my attention. I've learned a lot.FDM has its limitations, as does resin. The best results we're getting today are from the new tough engineering resins and flexible build plates, but those are expensive, nasty and hard to use. And still need supports. Neither does thin walls well, though the tough resins are better.
Funny aside - took my son (10th grade) to back to school night and he has a Intro to Engineering class. They have 3 FDM printers and 1 resin. They will be learning Fusion 360 and design principles. He said. I'll teach you, Dad.
The new products look great!
I would love to know the sound signature of the MJ3 ... warm, neutral, bright ? ... have Schiit ever done anything on the bright side ?

What kind of ambient room temp would be needed for silver MJ3s to be within a safe temperature range? Those of us in northern climates would like to know.
My basement was already in the low 60s last night. I think a silver MJ3 would be safe here...

Do you mean .. as opposed to iron gluttony ?That 'Class A' amp appears to have a serious iron deficiency.

Nervosa / upgratitis time…how much goosebumps / WOW can we expect coming from Freya S to Kara? Assuming AC turns up a click to compensate the extra heat dissipation, of course….Freya S active is slightly fuller/warmer than its passive mode, in my system driven typically by Mani 2 or Modi Multibit 2 and driving Vidar 2.
Are you saying that Kara active matches the passive mode? So no fuller sound? Assuming no impedance matching issues passive ought to be the reference.
Nervosa/upgradititis? Perhaps for some. Mine was simply a question. Still waiting for the answer.Nervosa / upgratitis time…how much goosebumps / WOW can we expect coming from Freya S to Kara? Assuming AC turns up a click to compensate the extra heat dissipation, of course….

Over two posts I surmised this
Passive Kara was the same as Passive Freya S
Active Kara in any gain mode was better then Freya S's gain modes.

Only one I have is the Adele Live video/disc.Buzzed ramble ahead.....
So I like live recordings that are recorded at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
No prayer of MJ3 in Ag? (That's a good picket chant for Schiit HQ!)
So it has to be silver GMB under the MJ3, correct?
P.S. Do we need to pass a worthiness test to lift the power switch on the MJ3?

I was thinking the Raal transformer box for the SR-A1 or CA-1. That needs about 6w though. And the Jot R is niceYes, about 1W.
Again: not recommended for IEMs, if that's where you're going.

I've emailed Schiit asking to order a Black Bifrost 2 case. Sadly they dont have any Gumby cases left.
It would be nice if Jason would consider silver cases for people in colder climates... but I ordered one in black anyway. Maybe the new grained/textured silver will have more surface area and allow better heat dissipation then the shiny silver.
Edit - hah, a worthiness test !? Sheesh I hope not, I'd just have an expensive & cold paperweight.....
