That's what is called an "informed decision."
It means that you were informed that others decided what's best for you.

Fun fact: That's actually how 98% of all decision making is done.

My Freya N purchase may have been executed while inebriated, but my opinion and appreciation of said Frey N were formed while fully sober. :wink:

Bifrost 2 and the 2/64 upgrade were decisions made while in an unimpaired state. I have no Aeiger... yet. :D

As for where this is going, it could be that drunk-buying is very under-rated and perhaps something folks should consider if they find themselves unable to make their audio buying decisions while sober. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The N+ has been re-worked electrically to be optimized for the appropriate Noval tubes. While I am sure that the 6SN7s will work with the needed adapters, I've not done so. I'll leave it to you to tell us how bad or stupid of an idea it was. :D

I've been pleasantly surprised with some of the noval tubes I've tried out, particularly those in the 12ax family (12at7's as followers, 12av7's for voltage gain [EDIT: With adapters of course. Be careful, kids!]), so I find I don't really miss my trusty 6sn7gta's as much as I thought I might.

Yesterday I purchased what may be the last closeout OG Yggy from Schiit's B-stock.
I'm having them perform the case-ectomy to turn it into Yggy+.
I saved some bucks buying from B-Stock and will (hopefully) get it much sooner than if I purchased OG Yggy+ outright which is currently shipping in 10-12 weeks.

FWIW, this was a 100% sober purchase so maybe it will sound slightly better than a drunk purchase. Time will tell. :beerchug:

Schiit was kind enough to sell me a black case for my silver Bifrost 2. :wink:
